LA MIA REPLICA, NON SOLO A TUTELA DELLA MIA PERSONALE PROFESSIONALITÀ, MA ANCHE DELLA TESTATA CHE GIOVEDÌ ERO CHIAMATA A RAPPRESENTARE. RISPOSTA ALLA LETTERA DI DEBORA ARU

Credo che porsi domande su come i giornalisti hanno “trattato” la notizia – e sottolineo “la notizia” – della presenza di Patrizia D’Addario alla manifestazione di Piazza Navona, come fa nella sua lettera aperta Debora Aru, sia non soltanto giusto, ma anche utile per la professione. E a ben vedere la “notizia” è forse proprio the brutality with which the D'Addario has been treated by those who call themselves the champions of press freedom. Forget even that was his own testimony and dare I say his courage to make it possible to uncover a system.
I too am shocked by what I saw in the square, and not by the fact that colleagues crowded around the D'Addario (a piece of news is still news) but the reaction of those who, being in the streets to demonstrate for freedom of thought, and interception of the press, thought that the D'Addario had come there to steal the scene and just like the wives of the village to which they were removed from the bone reacted scomposto e francamente illiberale.
Una brutta pagina davvero, su cui tutti dovremmo riflettere.
Essendo stata però tirata in ballo come esempio-limite di cattivo giornalismo per aver “addirittura tentato di intervistare la brillante biondina in diretta”, con tutto il corollario sulla mancanza di deontologia professionale che da tale scelta deriva, ritengo di dover replicare non solo a tutela della mia personale professionalità, ma anche della testata che giovedì in piazza ero chiamata a rappresentare.
Premesso che la sig.ra D’Addario era presente alla manifestazione non di sua iniziativa, ma su invito del Popolo Viola, ovvero di una delle sigle che hanno organizzato la manifestazione e che la sua vicenda ha ispirato proprio una delle norme più discusse del disegno di legge Alfano (e dunque era perfettamente titolata a esprimere la sua opinione), ho trovato di una gravità inaudita che alcuni colleghi (oltretutto con indosso la maglietta di Articolo21) si siano messi a gridare “vergognatevi” all’indirizzo della sottoscritta, per il solo fatto che stavo per intervistare la D’Addario.
A causa della violenza della “protesta” dei colleghi che in perfetto stile talebano si sono avventati anche fisicamente contro la postazione della nostra telecamera, in quel momento impegnata nella diretta, la signora D’Addario è stata costretta ad allontanarsi, facendo saltare il previsto collegamento.
Alla mia veemente protest ("This is censorship. You have prevented me from doing my job"), one of these gentlemen I have even threatened to publicly disgraced - please excuse my French - before the whole class.
If the young colleague believes this is a legitimate way to challenge the work of another colleague to come to an event on freedom of the press, well, no wonder if democracy in this country falters.
personally wary of those who, for purists conviction or convenience, stand as guardians of the revolution, while happy to close one eye and sometimes two on a lot of D'Addario lurking within the ranks of our honored category.
As for me I would be judged for what I do and I did and not what someone assumes that I was doing and I did not.
course is very curious that the only journalist to be attacked by both me Rainews, however, the only test that gave the whole event live. They did not do neither Sky nor the FNSI.
